America needs a national health care plan. We
should pay for it just like we pay for medicare
and social security. It would cost everyone less in the long run and have better coverage.
We should have standardized charges for all the
different operations and treatments. The people
could still choose the Doctors and Hospitals
that they want to go to. It would work for all
levels of peoples income.

I paid for insurance for years. I paid SS for years. I paid taxes for years. Now I am disabled. My husband lost his job. But I found out “I am worth more than $3,000.00″!!!! So, now I cannot get SSD, or healthcare, or food stamps or an income and I am losing everything each day. but I am worth more than $3,000.00!!!! THAT”S why I cannot receive any help.

I find it difficult to believe that we are the greatest country on earth when we can’t even take care of our own people. For years I worked full time jobs and still could not afford basic healthcare for me and my child. Something is wrong here.

It is obvious that universal care does not work. Note that the article admits that 90% of the frenchies have to purchase their own private health care in addition to the huge tax bite. Obviously the system does not work for at least 90% of the population.

It is of course correct that the U.S. population is sicker than the French. But that is only about lifesyle and largess. Americans are so lazy that they don’t even think about what they eat or how much exercise they get. Universal health care doled out by the government can only make that worse. Besides what has the government ever managed well??? Health care costs would drop like a rock with better care if government got completely out of the picture. Government is the problem!

If you have enough money, the health care in the US is the best. That’s why our system works the way it does, money buys you a position in front of the line for the world’s finest healthcare. What we need however, is a system that actually works for the majority of Americans like the European system. But such a system treats rich and poor alike, no buying your way to the front, and that’s why the lies about European healthcare abound.

hey Ramon Rosario, think about this we are paying high tax (already) same with fuel.. am old school not this new school, thats been ripping off the people in the (US) for years… its time for the people to fire the Gov,t and get some one else that can get us back on line, in stead of lineing their pockets with our taxs and ssn money… we need a good plan that will get us to work,and someone in office that can tell the truth for once instead of all of the (BS)that you see on (TV)……

Our government has not proven worthy of any more of our money. It doesn’t put the funds where they are supposed to go. Take social security. The government takes money out of your check and then instead of keeping it in soc. sec. funds it is borrowed and spent elsewhere. In 10 years more money will be going out of the soc. sec. funds than will be coming in. It is bankrupt. Our government cannot take care of the many programs that it has already started and I am not willing to shackle my grand kids and great grand kids to start another program that will be mishandled and underfunded! What is wrong with personal responsibility. Why must you people think everything should be free. Try going to Africa and living in a little straw hut with a dirt ground where your cook fire is in the middle of your hut. Then try taking a bath in the same river you get your cooking water from. America is a great country and I don’t want to be a socialistic clone of Europe. I agree we need serious revamping of many programs in our government but it should be done through accountability of what we already give and enforcing the laws already in place. thanks for listening if you are still reading.

The healthcare is only FREE to the receipient. SOMEONE IS PAYING. The state of California wouldn’t be in such financial problems if:

1. The democrats who run this state had to answer for everything they do instead of getting a pass from the media.

2. Stop making us tax payers pay for illegal alien’s healtcare, and education. They are turning this once beautiful state into a GD turd-world country like Mexico. Go give them your FREE healthcare there and make them go home and shoot out children and strollers in the own backward country.
